Description
Photograph of a pair of snow goggles on display with the caption "Snow goggles - Two types used in Shackleton Nimrod Expedition - Leather ones unsatisfactory owing to lack of ventilation. Both had glasses coloured to cut out as much as possible of the violet end of the spectrum." The item was previously on display in the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum but is not held by Wellcome Collection.
