Description

In 1959 Foy and Kondi participated in the WHO Nutrition Project in Mauritius by investigating the population's haemoglobin levels, which had not improved as expected after the eradication of malaria. In 1964 they carried out a follow-up survey to assess the effect of the fortification of salt with iron phosphate, a project implemented in 1960. In both surveys random samples of the population from all parts of the island were tested
