Description

Photograph of a painting by Otto Greiner (1902) of Odysseus bound to the mast of a boat while glancing towards the sirens on land. The original painting was lost from the Museum der Bildenden Künste, Leipzig, during World War II; allegedly cut from its frame by Russian troops in order to wrap a piano.
