Description
Paton worked with cortisone "to study its effect in modifying the response of the cat to the injection of histamine liberators" (Paton to MRC, 29 December, 1950). The file contains correspondence with the MRC, memoranda from MRC about cortisone, holograph notes, and a newspaper cutting (1949) on cases of rheumatoid arthritis treated with cortisone.
