About this work

Description

El eminente clínico internista Dr. Miguel Francisco Jimenez. (Datos para la historia de la medicina en México).

Produced in Mexico.

A first draft of preliminary paragraphs, perhaps for his proposed elogio on M.F. Jiménez [1813-76], the well-known Mexican clinician and anatomist, which the Academia Nacional de Medicina originally chose León to read on its former President on 24 September 1916. In the event the task was performed by José Terrés using none of the present MS material [see Gaceta Médica de México, 1916, 11 (3 ser.), 363-372].

Ramos (1957) has presented a contemporary assessment of Jiménez's achievements as one of a series of papers devoted to the treatment of hepatic abscess.
